MY JOURNEY TO OPTIMAL PRIME

Fitness has always been a part of me, but my journey hasn't been straightforward. I was born with talipes (clubfoot) and had undergone nine major surgeries before my fifth birthday. Growing up, I wore callipers—yes, like Forrest Gump's boots—just to be able to walk properly. Movement was never something I took for granted because, for a long time, it wasn't a given.

That didn't stop me. It fuelled me.

In 2011, I earned my Level 2 Gym Instruction, Level 3 Advanced Personal Training qualifications, NASM certification, and became a Nutritional Adviser. But while I didn't immediately pursue a career in fitness due to successful ventures in events and marketing, my passion for an active lifestyle never faded. Rugby, running, and pushing my body to its limits remained at the core of who I am.

Then, in 2013, life threw another challenge my way—a near-fatal leg break while playing rugby. I almost lost my leg. The recovery was brutal, physically and mentally. But I battled through, rebuilt my strength, and came out stronger. I know what it's like to face adversity, to have setbacks, and to wonder if you'll ever get back to feeling like you again.

And that's exactly why I do what I do.

At Optimal Prime, I don't just coach—I guide, support, and inspire. I understand that not everyone wants to be an elite athlete. Many simply want to break bad habits, build confidence, and create a healthier, more balanced lifestyle they can actually stick to. This isn't about quick fixes—it's about real, lasting change.
